I have an EEA diploma of secondary education
Send your confirmation email
We'll examine your application
Finalise your enrolment
Check whether you are eligible for exemptions (if applicable)
The application deadline for academic year 2021-2022 is 1 September 2021. After this date it is no longer possible to apply. So make sure to register on time, even if there are still documents missing to complete your application.
In the 'Extra' section of the web registration, you can fill in the name of the study programme you wish to follow.
Make sure to add the following required documents to your application:
- Diploma of secondary and/or higher education + transcript of records (make sure to include an official translation if your diploma(s) is/are not in English, French, Dutch or German).
- Color copy of identity card/passport (front- and backside);
- Proof of English proficiency (you can see here which language certificates we accept).
- Proof of Dutch proficiency (only applicable if you want to start in a programme taught in Dutch)
Once the application is filled out, send a confirmation email to email@example.com containing:
- your first name and last name
- the study programme you wish to follow
Within three weeks, we will send you an email saying whether or not you meet the admission requirements.
If you meet the requirements, the educational institution itself must send a certified copy of your diploma of secondary and/or higher education and transcript or records to our university of applied sciences, in a sealed envelope.
Another option is that you ask your secondary/higher institution to send us (firstname.lastname@example.org) an official email ( with stamp and signature) confirming that you have graduated + date of graduation + official name of your diploma.
If you are already in Belgium, you can also come by our office (only possible after appointment!) with your original documents. Due to the corona measures this option is currently not possible.
After we have received and verified these documents, you will receive an answer confirming the approval or rejection of your application.
Payment of the tuition fee will be done online as well. Upon enrolment you will receive an email with further instructions. First you will need to pay the fixed fee. This amounts to €113.20 for a grant student and €247.90 for an almost or non-grant student. By the end of October you will pay the rest of the tuition fee. All information about the tuition fee can be found here.
Contact a Student Support staff member if you have any questions about the grant amount or other financial questions.
Do you wish to request exemptions or follow a shortened track ? Starting in distance learning or via a SWITCH study track? Want to study via a credit- or exam contract or start in February? In all these cases you should contact the Study Track Manager of the study programme prior to your enrolment to check the possibilities. You can find an overview of the Study Track Managers per study programme here. Together you determine your curriculum.
Check whether your study programme has an inflow procedure.
STUDY PROGRAMMES including an INFLOW SESSION
Some study programmes make use of an inflow session. This is a mandatory session, not aimed at selecting you as a student or not, but to find out together whether the chosen study programme is right for you.
These study programmes make use of an inflow session.
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
- Advanced Bachelor of School Development
- Advanced Bachelor: Creative Therapy
- Associate Degree in Secondary Education
- Study programmes in distance learning and SWITCH study tracks (study + work)'
STUDY PROGRAMMES WITH A MANDATORY ENTRANCE TEST
If you want to enrol in a teacher training programme (Preschool education, Primary education or Secondary education) then you have to take a mandatory entrance test throughout Flanders. You can find more information about this entrance test and where and when you can take it here. Load it into your online registration or email it to email@example.com
