About Idea Factory
Idea Factory is the place for Artevelde students who don't want to wait until graduation to start doing business. Our coaches listen to your ideas and then help you implement them.
Specifically, you can come to us for the following:
- One-to-one coaching on your concept, financial plan or administrative start-up
- Advice on networking
- Practical guidance on combining your studies and early-stage entrepreneurship
Important info for international students
- Are you an EU student? You can start a company in Belgium depending on your Belgian ID card status. Please let us know first so we can help you out properly.
- Are you a non-EU student? Most likely, you won't be able to start your company in Belgium, but you still have options, and we would love to help you shape your idea.

Idea Factory is a proud partner in the Gentrepreneur network. Here you will find a broad network of experts, inspiring events and informative workshops. Through Gentrepreneur you will also find a stimulating and vibrant community full of inspiring role models, including other student-entrepreneurs from the other Ghent educational institutes.
Whether it's about starting your own business, organising a party or solving a social problem: everyone is welcome at Gentrepreneur!

Safe entrepreneurship with Ghent student cooperative
The Company by Gentrepreneur is a student cooperative where you enter as a student entrepreneur with a market-ready concept and take advantage of The Company's business number, VAT number, growth opportunities and accounting support.
Advantages
- Accounting will be done for you; you will get access to an invoicing system and your bank account. So you can concentrate on your concept, marketing and sales.
- We will also take care of all administrative formalities.
- You get targeted coaching on entrepreneurial skills and access to our network of experts.
- The cooperative is also a community where you meet other cooperators.
