The International Office Management programme is unique in Belgium. In addition to the subjects that are specific to Business & Languages, we will immerse you in fields such as Intercultural Communication and Process and Lean Management. With this broad background, you can occupy a vital role in any (international) company!

Go for Business & Languages!
Are you a natural linguist? Choose Business & Languages! You’ll learn how to communicate professionally in English and in at least two other foreign languages. You can study French, Spanish, German or Chinese at AUC, or choose to take a foreign language of your choice at an external accredited institution. For three years, you will work on a broad portfolio of languages, and you will master at least two foreign languages at B2 (or B1+) level. An asset on the labour market!
NEW: What toppings do you choose?
In the Bachelor of International Office Management, languages, ICT skills and general business and management courses have a prominent place. However, we believe in your unique skills and abilities and we really want to make them shine!
Now you can pick interesting extra courses to add some flavour to your programme. Whether you want to broaden or deepen your knowledge: we have options matching your personality! Pick 1 extra course (5 credits) in semester 3 or 4 and even pick 2 in semester 5 (10 credits).

The programme year by year
In the first year of the programme you get a variety of general business courses to make sure you are ready to kick-start your career as an international office manager. You start with an intensive 6-week dive into Business Basics and develop your knowledge in the second semester with Business Economics. You also immediately get the international component in courses like International Law and International Marketing. Start an extra foreign language: at AUC you can take French, German, Spanish and Chinese or choose a foreign language of your own choice at an external accredited institution.
In the second year, you deepen your knowledge of your chosen Foreign Language 2. Furthermore, you’ll continue to specialise in domains that are important for future international office managers:
- work on your ICT skills in ICT Toolkit
- develop your intercultural communication skills and general management knowledge
- invest in and explore your own strengths and talents in Talent Lab 2: Personal Branding
In the third year, you will have the opportunity to spend at least one term of study in a foreign country, at one of our worldwide partner institutions. We strongly recommend complementing this with an internship abroad in the second semester. There's a reason why you chose International Office Management after all, right? International students can choose between going abroad or continuing their foreign experience in Belgium.
