Research themes
How can we help entrepreneurs start from sustainability to strive for economic profitability with an ecological, circular, and/or social impact? How can we reduce the distance to the labour market for certain (vulnerable) target groups? Based on market research and the human-centred design method, we will search for insights and solutions in terms of tools, methods, or prototypes.

HRM
We examine levers that can move organisations towards a sustainable HRM policy, such as inclusiveness, lifelong learning, change management, and human-centred entrepreneurship.
Intra and Entrepreneurship
We look for insights and develop methods to stimulate, support, and coach entrepreneurship. To this extent, we focus on vulnerable groups facing a greater distance to work, but also on self-employed persons or employees in Belgium and in the Global South.

Market and business processes
We develop tools for SMEs to help them run their market and business processes more efficiently. We also examine the economic feasibility and the adaptability of innovations.
Circular economy and sustainable entrepreneurship
We examine how we can help optimise the ecological and/or social impact of consumption and production. Based on research insights, we develop tools and methods to support starters and SMEs in a circular start-up or the transition towards it.
About the Business and Management Research Centre
The Business & Management Research and Development Centre supports employees, starters, and SMEs in their challenges towards a sustainable economic model. Together with partners we will search for insights and solutions in terms of tools, methods, or prototypes. This is done through market research and the human-centred design method.
