Campus facilities and accessibility
The majority of your courses will take place at campus Leeuwstraat. However, some courses can also take place at campus Mariakerke and campus Kantienberg.
Campus Leeuwstraat is a unique building with authentic elements. It houses many smaller classrooms, a large auditorium, administrative offices, and a beautiful courtyard. Overpoort, Ghent's bustling student district, is right around the corner. Therefore you won't be surprised there is no lack of coffee shops and sandwich bars in the area.
Campus Kantienberg, our largest and newest campus, is situated in the heart of Ghent, only a few minutes from campus Leeuwstraat. You will find specific functional training areas and workspaces, general classrooms, an up-to-date media library and a student restaurant offering varied and healthy meals.
Campus Mariakerke is often referred to as the media campus of Artevelde University of Applied Sciences. Here you'll find sketch and design studios, a print and sign lab, photo studios and a media library. This campus is outside the city centre but easily accessible by bus or bicycle.
Campus Kantienberg is located right in the centre of the student district. From Ghent-Sint-Pieters station, it's a 20-minute walk to the campus. Take the Koningin Astridlaan. Continue through the Citadelpark and Kunstlaan. At the end of Kunstlaan, you will arrive at Voetweg. By bike, you can even get there in 10 minutes. The campus has covered bike parking.
