The ‘European Clinical Specialization in Fluency Disorders' is a one-year program for speech-language therapists wanting to become European Fluency Specialists. Graduates of this course will distinguish themselves by their outstanding ability, in-depth knowledge, and expertise in the field of fluency disorders. The program provides specialist knowledge and skills that can be recognized by your local professional body as important criteria leading to clinical specialization.


It is the first speech-language specialization course receiving European grants for its development because of its high quality. The curriculum, compatible with your current workload as an SLT, consists of two components: theoretical knowledge and specific therapeutic skills along with specialized clinical training and portfolio.

For whom?

The specialization course is open to people with a Ba or Ma degree in Speech-Language Therapy who are qualified to work as an SLT in their home country. The course is limited to 24 participants per cycle. Participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

Price

The course fee is €1900.
Overnight stays during the intensive weeks are not included.
For Flanders: the use of the 'KMO-portefeuille' is possible for those who are self-employed, hereby half of the registration fee is reduced.
Funding for people from underdeveloped countries is available.

Application procedure

1. Complete the application form.
2. Add a copy of the diploma of your highest qualification and your identity card.
3. Send these documents to ECSF-office.
4. Applicants will receive a notification after receipt of documents.
5. Selected candidates (max. 24 per cycle) will receive an invitation to officially register for the ECSF-course.
6. Registration is final after payment of registration fee. This fee is not refundable.
